Plot Outline:
Will Hawkins is a laid back university student who enjoys a quiet lifestyle with his small group of friends. Though he practices martial arts, including Tai-Chi, Will renounces all violence due to his difficult childhood and memories of abuse. Unfortunately for Will, however, everything he knows is about to change, as he is thrown into a compromising situation which tests the very values that define him. A vampire clan has been living near the campus and searching for fresh blood. Coven leader Julian looks to pass his throne to a worthy successor. In order to pass his coveted title, one of the vampires in his coven must fight and kill a sentry (a member of an elite order of vampire hunters). As the legend holds, sentries have fought vampires for millennia, protecting the world and maintaining a necessary balance between good and evil. But the destiny of vampires and sentries alike are forever changed when suddenly, Will Hawkins unwittingly becomes the center of this eternal war. His journey begins.
